PoloLuxury, Nigeria’s foremost Luxury company celebrates Women’s History Month with an inspirational campaign.

Themed ‘The Polo Power Woman’ the campaign featured key female luminaries who have paved the way in the tech, art, luxury, entrepreneurship and women empowerment sectors. Featured in the campaign were Mrs Olatowun Candide-Johnson, Founder of Gaia Africa Club; Chief Mrs Nike Okundaye, Founder of Nike Art Gallery; and Barr. (Mrs.) Ayotola Jagun, Chief Compliance Officer & Company Secretary, Oando PLC. 

Speaking regarding the campaign, Jennifer Obayuwana, Executive Director, Polo said, “The campaign, the Polo Power Woman was inspired by the strength, tenacity and doggedness of Nigerian women who through hard work, resilience and grit have broken boundaries, made a great impact, and charted a course for other Nigerian women to follow. Our aim was therefore to cheer on the Nigerian Women doing great work while inspiring others to reach for great heights.”

Speaking on the global theme for International Women’s Day 2023, #EmbraceEquity, Mrs Olatowun Candide – Johnson encouraged women to take great advantage of every opportunity that comes and make the most of it. She said, “Equity is the opportunity to succeed and not just participate.” She went on to encourage women to also cheer, celebrate and tout the horns of other women. Also speaking on the International Women’s Day theme 2023, Barr. (Ms.) Ayotola Jagun further spurred women to take every opportunity handed to them to make an impact. “Don’t ask for permission to showcase what you are bringing to the table; just lean in”, she said.

Chief (Mrs.) Nike Okundaye, founder of Nike Art Gallery leaned in, telling a story of her personal experiences and confrontations as a woman pioneering the art and cultural industry in Nigeria. She ended by speaking about the importance of celebrating women, stating that when women are celebrated, the nation is celebrated as well.
