The foremost connoisseurs of luxury in Nigeria, Polo Limited, shared the joy of Christmas with residents of special homes in Lagos in its recent CSR Initiative, The Christmas Food Drive.
The Christmas Season, a time of the year when Christian faithfuls all over the world gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, is synonymous with the season of giving and gifting. It is in this spirit that Polo Limited, the No. 1 luxury company in Nigeria went all out to visit special homes within the Lagos environs, gifting them with food items for the holidays.
Some of the homes visited include the Old People’s Home, Yaba, Heart of Gold Children Hospice, Surulere, Bales of Mercy Orphanage, Bariga, Heritage Homes, Anthony amongst others. The food items were received by the caregivers of the homes amidst great joy and gratitude.
The Manager of the Old People’s Home, Yaba expressed deep appreciation to the management of Polo Limited for the hand of love extended towards them. He further commended the organization for its thoughtfulness and kind gesture in feeding the aged, describing it as a reflection of what the Christmas season is truly about.
Speaking at the Food Drive, the Executive Director of the Polo Group, Ms Jennifer Obayuwana thanked the management of the homes for the warm reception given to the Polo Luxury Team. She further emphasized the importance of fulfilling this initiative to Polo Limited as an organisation. “At Polo Limited, we are committed to improving the social and economic development of the society. It is therefore always an honour for us to support our immediate communities the best way we can.” She said.
It is also noteworthy, that Polo Limited fed over 5,000 Lagosians to sumptuous Iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan in 2021, as part of its CSR activities to Muslims at Arabic & Islamic Training centres Morikaz Agege, Atere Mosque in Ebute Metta and Ilaje Communities.
